Our TeamWayne E. Thomas, CLU, ChFC, AEPWayne started in the financial services industry in 1969 after majoring in Insurance at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. During the 1970’s he worked with his father Clay Thomas on complex life insurance planning cases. Wayne has continued to focus on advising clients about life insurance planning and estate planning issues. He is the “go-to guy” that other advisors call to brainstorm unusual planning situations. Wayne passed all is Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) exams while in college. He later earned his Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC) and AEP designations and is continuing his studies to enhance his skills. Wayne has been active in industry associations as a past president of the New Orleans chapters of both the Society of Financial Service Professionals (SFSP) and the Estate Planning Council. Wayne has also been active in the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors (NAIFA/Louisiana) serving as both Legislative Chairman and Moderator of the Leadership in Life Institute. He was twice named NAIFA/Louisiana’s Member of the Year. Wayne is currently President of the New York Life Agents Reinsurance Company (NYLARC). Wayne is also active in his community, having served as President or Chairman of: The East Jefferson Hospital Board, the East Jefferson General Hospital Foundation Board, the St. Elizabeth Seton Parish School Board, the St. Elizabeth Seton Parish Council, and the Manresa Retreat House Board. He is currently Treasurer of the Kenner Discovery Health Science Academy School Board. Wayne and his wife Roni have three children and three grandchildren. They live in Kenner, Louisiana. Tim W. Thomas, ChFC, ARPCHaving started his financial services career in 1998, Tim represents the new generation of a financial services family that spans three generations, beginning in 1945. Specializing in insurance, estate planning, and investments, Tim works with affluent families, business owners, and professionals to achieve the crystalized and individualized goals of each client. Tim is a graduate of the University of Alabama with a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance with an emphasis in Economics. He also completed the extensive studies to earn the Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC) and ARPC designations. Tim is actively involved in both industry organizations and community boards. These include New York Life’s Agent Advisory Council, the Society of Financial Service Professionals and The CottonMill Board. Currently, Tim serves as Chairman of the Board for Boys Town Louisiana, an organization serving at-risk youth throughout the Greater New Orleans area. Tim and his wife Aurea have two sons, Hunter and Felipe. They live in New Orleans. Claire MatherneClaire is a long time employee of Thomas Financial Group having worked with three generations of the Thomas Family. As Administrative Assistant she works closely with Wayne and Tim to keep them organized and ready for their appointments. She also handles servicing of our clients, travel arrangements and meeting coordination. Claire enjoys camping and spending time with her husband, children, and grandchildren. Melanie RoserMelanie joined Thomas Financial Group in August, 1997. In her role as a Service Assistant she performs administrative duties for the financial professionals including fielding phone calls, performing service work for clients and scheduling appointments. She previously worked at Hartford Insurance for 15 years as a Claims Representative before their claim office moved to Orlando, Florida. She enjoys spending time with her husband, two sons and dog. She also enjoys reading, baking, and going to the beach. |
